This past Saturday was the day that yard sale fanatic in West County wait for…the fall Piney Orchard Community Association Yard Sale!
POCA holds a community yard sale twice a year (Spring and Fall), which for me generally signals the beginning and end of the yard sale season. It is one of the larger yard sales in the area each year.
Once again, POCA did not disappoint! Spaces sold out for the event with approximately 75 vendor tables set up in the parking lot and grassy area around the community center.
The Deals
Shoppers could find deals on toys, clothes, baby furniture, you name it! Anyone looking for baby and toddler items this time around hit the jackpot. Furniture was another big ticket item this year. There was definitely something for everyone selling at the yard sale.
The Shoppers
While there were thousands of items for sale…there was no shortage of shoppers either. Cars were parked from one end of Stream Valley Drive to the other and spilling over into surrounding neighborhoods. People awoke bright and early in order to score the best deals!
I have participated as a buyer in the POCA Yard Sale for many years and have usually found some great deals! At the Spring Yard Sale I was able to find my son a baseball mitt for $1. This year I went specifically looking for a batting tee. Unfortunately I struck out…no pun intended! But I eagerly await the return of the POCA Yard Sale next Spring!
