Reisterstown Regional Park – Family and Sports Fun

Are you looking for something fun to do this weekend?  Make sure you check out Reisterstown Regional Park!

Reisterstown Regional Park is located just 20 minutes outside of the Baltimore Beltway. The Park offers so much that you really can spend an entire day there.  There is a large pavilion with charcoal grills, clean bathrooms, and a concession stand open most of the spring and summer months. This is a wonderful place to host a birthday party and hang out with friends and family!

Reisterstown Regional Park offers 80 acres of state of the art baseball diamonds for your little league star! The park also offers immaculate soccer fields, one of which has lights for the drama of a night game.

Reisterstown Regional Park also includes a Sportsplex which boasts an ice rink and an artificial turf field. Ice rinks are not plentiful and most people have to drive to miles to get to one…those of us close to Reisterstown have the luxury of an ice rink in our own backyard!  You can take in a hockey game or simply enjoy a few hours of ice skating  with your family!

The artificial turf field is great for indoor lacrosse and soccer games.  Teams are lining up for the opportunity to practice and play on the indoor field!

Annual Spooktacular – Owings Mills New Town Halloween Fun

Yaffe Real Estate took part in the Annual Spooktacular in Owings Mills New Town Village Center on Saturday! It was a great opportunity for us to take part in a community event and get to know our neighbors.

Families came to the event that was held between 10am and 1pm.  It was a little chilly in the morning, but as the sun came out we  started to warm up.

It was a great turn out…we saw children dressed in a variety of costumes.  It seemed like the most popular costumes were Spiderman, Buzz Light Year, and Iron Man.  As for the girls, we saw a variety of princess costumes! Our favorite costumes were the twins dressed as Kermit the Frog and Fozzie Bear…adorable!

The children hopped from table to table participating in coloring activities and candy collection!  The DJ had the kids participating in costume parades, hula hoop contests and limbo lines!  Don’t worry…we saw parents participating too…they may have been having even more fun than the kids!

There was also a small petting zoo where the children were able to get up close and personal with bunnies, ducks and snakes…the snake was particularly spooky.

Yaffe Real Estate gave away an abundance of candy as well as stickers, removable tattoos and bat rings.  Kids also had the opportunity to color bookmarks…we like to encourage education in addition to candy eating!

All in all, the event was great!  We are already excited for the Spooktacular next year…hopefully we will see you there!

Tsam – New Restaurant in Owings Mills New Town

New Restaurant in Owings Mills New Town!

Tsam just opened in the old Bagel Shop location in the Owings Mills New Town Village Center just down the sidewalk from Starbucks. 

Tsam is perfect for us busy workers who need to grab a quick sandwich over lunch or a bagel our way to the office!

The new management took over this space just a few weeks ago and will slowly be incorporating Korean BBQ to their menu in addition to the bagels and sandwiches currently on the menu.

I have had the pleasure of eating at Tsam and have to say that the bagels are great! I can’t wait to try the Korean BBQ once added to the menu.  Our office is so close that many of us frequent Tsam for lunch.  They have a variety of items on the menu to include sandwiches, bagels and much more.

The service is excellent!  When you walk through the door you will be greeted by a friendly face eager to assist you in your menu selection.

Tsam will also be extending their hours for the dinner crowd! 

We definitely recommend that you stop by for some yummy food when you are in the neighborhood or pop for a bagel the next time you stop at Starbucks for your morning coffee!

New Home Construction in Owings Mills New Town!

Have you noticed the new construction in Owings Mills New Town?

Chesapeake Realty is currently developing a new neighborhood in Owings Mills New Town off of Red Run Boulevard and Owings Mills Boulevard.  Park Terrace & Park Place will be completed by the end of 2012!

Homes are currently being built by Ryan Homes and Richmond-American Homes.  The builders are creating a community of 212 new town homes…a mixture of 2-3 bedroom 2.5 bath homes with the option of converting the loft area into an additional bedroom.
