Reisterstown Regional Park – Family and Sports Fun
Are you looking for something fun to do this weekend? Make sure you check out Reisterstown Regional Park!
Reisterstown Regional Park is located just 20 minutes outside of the Baltimore Beltway. The Park offers so much that you really can spend an entire day there. There is a large pavilion with charcoal grills, clean bathrooms, and a concession stand open most of the spring and summer months. This is a wonderful place to host a birthday party and hang out with friends and family!
Reisterstown Regional Park offers 80 acres of state of the art baseball diamonds for your little league star! The park also offers immaculate soccer fields, one of which has lights for the drama of a night game.
Reisterstown Regional Park also includes a Sportsplex which boasts an ice rink and an artificial turf field. Ice rinks are not plentiful and most people have to drive to miles to get to one…those of us close to Reisterstown have the luxury of an ice rink in our own backyard! You can take in a hockey game or simply enjoy a few hours of ice skating with your family!
The artificial turf field is great for indoor lacrosse and soccer games. Teams are lining up for the opportunity to practice and play on the indoor field!

Annual Spooktacular – Owings Mills New Town Halloween Fun
Yaffe Real Estate took part in the Annual Spooktacular in Owings Mills New Town Village Cen
ter on Saturday! It was a great opportunity for us to take part in a community event and get to know our neighbors.
Families came to the event that was held between 10am and 1pm. It was a little chilly in the morning, but as the sun came out we started to warm up.
It was a great turn out…we saw children dressed in a variety of costumes. It seemed like the most popular costumes were Spiderman, Buzz Light Year, and Iron Man. As for the girls, we saw a variety of princess costumes! Our favorite costumes were the twins dressed as Kermit the Frog and Fozzie Bear…adorable!
The children hopped from table to table participating in coloring activities and candy collection! The DJ had the kids participating in costume parades, hula hoop contests and limbo lines! Don’t worry…we saw parents participating too…they may have been having even more fun than the kids!
There was also a small petting zoo where the children were able to get up close and personal with bunnies, ducks and snakes…the snake was particularly spooky.
Yaffe Real Estate gave away an abundance of candy as well as stickers, removable tattoos and bat rings. Kids also had the opportunity to color bookmarks…we like to encourage education in addition to candy eating!
All in all, the event was great! We are already excited for the Spooktacular next year…hopefully we will see you there!

Tsam – New Restaurant in Owings Mills New Town
New Restaurant in Owings Mills New Town!
Tsam just opened in the old Bagel Shop location in the Owings Mills New Town Village Center just down the sidewalk from Starbucks.
Tsam is perfect for us busy workers who need to grab a quick sandwich over lunch or a bagel our way to the office!
The new management took over this space just a few weeks ago and will slowly be incorporating Korean BBQ to their menu in addition to the bagels and sandwiches currently on the menu.
Halloween Fun! Nichols-Bethel United Methodist Pumpkin Patch in Odenton
Every year, the most popular place to get Halloween pumpkins in Odenton is at the Nichols-Bethel United Methodist Pumpkin Patch!
This year marks the 6th Annual Pumpkin Patch and it gets bigger each year! 1200 pumpkins were available this year, ranging from mini pumpkins and gourds to massive pumpkins in excess of 50 pounds.
All proceeds from the pumpkin patch sales benefit the Nichols-Bethel Youth Fellowship which goes directly to funding the annual summer trip to Camp Hope. Camp Hope is a United Methodist work camp based in Frostburg. While kids are there they refurbish homes for the underprivileged and elderly in Western Maryland.
So come on out to the Nichols-Bethel Pumpkin Patch while there’s still pumpkins! You will find a great selection to help a very worthy cause. Nichols-Bethel United Methodist Church is located on Murray Rd, just off of Rt 175.

Piney Orchard Community Association Yard Sale
This past Saturday was the day that yard sale fanatic in West County wait for…the fall Piney Orchard Community Association Yard Sale!
POCA holds a community yard sale twice a year (Spring and Fall), which for me generally signals the beginning and end of the yard sale season. It is one of the larger yard sales in the area each year.
Once again, POCA did not disappoint! Spaces sold out for the event with approximately 75 vendor tables set up in the parking lot and grassy area around the community center.

Exploring our Baltimore Neighborhood – A Night in Fells Point
Get On-Board the Baltimore Exploration Train
Over the weekend, my husband and I took a trip to Fells Point. We recently moved to Baltimore County and decided it was time to explore our new neighborhood!
Upon a few recommendations, we selected Fells Point as our first stop on the Baltimore exploration train. We had heard that Fells Point was home to great shops, restaurants, bars and much more. We were not disappointed!
